False Bomb Threats Target Armenian Polling Stations on Election Day

Armenian authorities have dismissed reports of bombs planted at several polling stations after citizens received a wave of calls and emails spreading false information on election day.

The messages were sent from foreign phone numbers and email addresses, claiming that explosive devices had been placed at certain voting locations across the country, The Caspian Post reports via Arka.am.

Law enforcement agencies immediately conducted checks and inspections, concluding that the reports were unfounded and did not pose any real threat.

Police officers confirmed that the bomb warnings were false and urged citizens not to panic or be misled by misinformation.
