"We are regulating our relations based on our national interests," stated Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's intention to sign a strategic partnership agreement with Iran, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
"Our relations with Armenia are no exception to this rule. We have very good relations with Armenia, and we are determined to continue them. Our relations with other countries are based on careful discussion and decision-making based on mutual interests," the Iran MFA spokesperson added.
