The annual conference of Armenian ambassadors abroad resumed on August 25 in Armenia’s Kapan town, where Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan addressed diplomats on key regional and international issues.
A central point of discussion was the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, The Caspian Post reports via Armenian media.
Referring to the initialed peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mirzoyan underscored that establishing peace is vital not only for Armenia but for the entire South Caucasus region.
The foreign minister outlined Armenia’s strategic foreign policy vision in light of new geopolitical realities, pointing to emerging opportunities and the steps required for their implementation. He reiterated that advancing the peace agenda remains a priority for the Armenian government and its diplomatic corps.
Mirzoyan also touched upon the unblocking of regional communication channels, stressing that such measures would open up broad economic and logistical prospects for Armenia.
The conference of ambassadors will continue until August 27.
