Armenian armed forces continue to open fire at the Azerbaijani Army’s positions.
“On March 19, at about 14:15, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the direction of Gunashli settlement of Basarkechar region using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a press release, The Caspian Post reports.
This incident occurs on the same day that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan issued a directive to his country’s Ministry of Defence, instructing them not to violate the ceasefire regime in place. The Prime Minister emphasized Armenia's commitment to peace and reiterated that the draft peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan was awaiting finalization.
