Azerbaijan Becomes Full Member of ILAC

The Azerbaijan Accreditation Center (AzAK) has been granted full membership in the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), in line with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards on "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories," according to the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan.

As a result of AzAK's full membership in ILAC, documents submitted by conformity assessment bodies accredited by the Center will be recognized internationally, which will help eliminate technical barriers when concluding trade agreements, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

Thus, the calibration and testing results of laboratories accredited by AzAK will be recognized as mutually recognized official documents in all ILAC member countries.
