On July 4, torrential rains in Kerr County, Texas, caused the Guadalupe River to overflow its banks, inundating a local Christian summer camp for girls as well as nearby residential areas.
According to initial reports, more than 50 people, including 15 children, have been confirmed dead. Dozens of campers remain missing, as search and rescue operations continue.
