The Azerbaijani Ministry of Science and Education has announced that Azerbaijan is exploring opportunities for Syrian students to study at its universities under the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant program.
The initiative was discussed during the first online meeting of the Syrian-Azerbaijani Working Group on Humanitarian Spheres, The Caspian Post reports via the ministry.
Participants included Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Science and Education and head of the Azerbaijani working group Kanan Karimzade, Azerbaijani working group members, Charge d' affairs of the Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic in Damascus Elnur Shahhuseynov, Syrian Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and head of the Syrian working group Ğeys Varqouzeq, along with other Syrian delegates.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in science, education, and culture, aiming to foster greater academic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
