Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will launch scheduled flights from Baku to Shymkent, Kazakhstan, beginning June 28, as part of its ongoing route network expansion.
The airline said flights between Baku and Shymkent would operate three times a week: departing from Baku on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and returning from Shymkent on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, The Caspian Post reports.
Currently, AZAL operates flights from Baku to Kazakhstan's Almaty, Aktau and Astana. No other airline offers direct flights between Baku and Shymkent.
