Azerbaijani figure skater Alexander Plushenko has completed his campaign at the Junior Grand Prix event in Batumi, Georgia, finishing 10th among 26 competitors.

The 13-year-old skater scored 181.97 points across his two programs. He earned 62.49 points in the short program, placing 11th, and 119.48 points in the free skate, where he finished eighth, according to İdman.Biz.

Plushenko improved on his result from the previous Junior Grand Prix stage in Ankara, which marked his debut representing Azerbaijan. He scored 171.65 points there and finished 13th among 33 skaters.

The Ankara competition was also Plushenko’s international debut, making his 171.65-point result his previous personal best on the international stage. His performance in Batumi has raised that mark to 181.97 points.

Other members of Azerbaijan’s national team are also competing at the Georgian event. Arina Kalugina and ice dance pair Anna O’Brien and Drake Tong are scheduled to perform their final programs on September 26.
