Baku Initiative Group Urges France to Cease its Illegal Activities

France should cease its illegal activities instead of accusing the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), Abbas Abbasov, the BIG Executive Director, said on Wednesday.

He was responding to the unfounded claims made by France against the organization, The Caspian Post reports.

Abbasov emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev is one of the leaders advocating for global decolonization. “Thanks to the President's efforts in highlighting the issue of neo-colonialism, global attention has been drawn to this matter,” he said.

He further pointed out that the rights of the populations in the 13 regions currently under French occupation are not protected, describing their living conditions as deplorable.
