The famous Peace Bridge in Tbilisi, one of the Georgian capital’s most recognizable landmarks, was illuminated in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag in honor of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.

The special light display was organized to mark May 28 - Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

The architectural symbol of Tbilisi glowed in blue, red and green, reflecting the colors of Azerbaijan’s national flag and creating a striking scene in the heart of the city.

The gesture was seen as a sign of friendship, attention and respect from neighboring Georgia toward Azerbaijan’s national holiday.
