Nine families, comprising 30 individuals, have been successfully resettled in the village of Seyidbayli in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district, where they were officially handed the keys to their new homes.
The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, along with representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), The Caspian Post reports via local media.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to provide safe and stable housing for displaced families in the region.
The resettlement to the liberated Azerbaijani lands is a key part of Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction and development strategy following the recent liberation of territories previously occupied during the Karabakh conflict. These efforts focus on restoring infrastructure, rebuilding communities, and providing safe and dignified housing for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) who were forced to flee their homes. The government, along with various agencies, is working to create sustainable living conditions, revive local economies, and ensure long-term stability in these areas, marking an important step toward national recovery and reconciliation.
