Kazakhstan has significantly increased its grain and flour exports to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, strengthening its role as a key agricultural supplier in the region.
From September 2025 to March 2026, the country exported a total of 9.9 million tons of grain and flour, The Caspian Post reports via APK-Inform information and analytical agency.
The most notable growth was recorded in shipments to Kyrgyzstan, where export volumes rose from 233,000 tons to 393,000 tons - a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.
Kazakhstan also expanded deliveries to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan, reflecting rising regional demand for food supplies.
Officials noted that this year Kazakhstan plans to sow 23.8 million hectares of crops, while reducing grain acreage to 15.9 million hectares as part of ongoing agricultural optimization efforts.
