Türkiye’s International Reserves Reach All-Time High

The Turkish Central Bank's official international reserves reached a record high of $174.4 billion as of August 8, according to data released on Thursday.

The reserves rose 3.2%, or $5.38 billion from the previous week's $168.99 billion, Türkiye's Central Bank said, The Caspian Post reports citing Turkish media.

Foreign currency reserves - in convertible foreign currencies - increased 3.4% to $79.9 billion compared to the previous week.

The bank's gold reserves - including gold deposits and, if appropriate, gold-swapped -were up by 3.2% to $86.8 billion in the same period.

The total of the IMF reserve position and special drawing rights also increased 0.8% to reach $7.7 billion as of Aug. 8.
