At a briefing for journalists in Astana, the Head of State highlighted Kazakhstan's cooperation with Russia in the scientific, cultural, and humanitarian fields, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform News Agency.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev revealed that a new Kazakhstan-Russia Eternal Friendship Alley will be unveiled in the Kazakh capital next spring. He thanked Russia for its active participation in the V World Nomad Games held in Astana in early September. The Head of State said in 2026 will play host to the 3rd Games of the Future, a unique tournament initiated by Russia where traditional sports meet cybersport.
The President said the Culture Days of Astana in Moscow held this August highlighting that a bust of the great Kazakh poet and thinker, Abai, was unveiled in Kazan, and the Abai Opera was performed at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Large-scale exhibitions of Kazakhstan will be held in the best museums in Russia soon.
As earlier reported, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia signed the Joint Statement and other agreements.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin attended the plenary session of the XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia via videoconferencing.
The President of Russia arrived in Kazakhstan for a state visit at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and will participate in the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
