Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Congratulates Uzbek Counterpart on Reappointment

The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation within the context of their fraternal, friendly, and allied relations, as well as the current regional situation.

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Bakhtiyor Saidov on his reappointment to post of Uzbek Foreign Minister in a phone call on Thursday.

Bayramov wished Saidov continued success in his activity, The Caspian Post reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s press service.

The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation within the context of their fraternal, friendly, and allied relations, as well as the current regional situation. They also praised the two countries' mutual support and cooperation on international platforms.

The conversation was held on the same day that the Legislative Chamber of the Uzbek Parliament approved the new composition of the country's Cabinet of Ministers.

On October 27 Uzbekistan held election to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the country and to local kengashes (councils) of people's deputies.
