A total of 57.7 thousand Chinese citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism between January and October 2024, marking a 63.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Statistics Agency.

This figure increased by 22.3 thousand people, or 63.1 percent, compared to the corresponding period in 2023. In January-October 2024, 50 thousand 52 Chinese citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

In January-October 2024, almost 6.5 million foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for tourism.

According to the Statistics Agency, this figure increased by 951.3 thousand people, or 17.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2023.

In January-October, foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for tourism purposes: from Tajikistan – 1,878.5 thousand, from Kyrgyzstan – 1,870.3 thousand, Kazakhstan – 1,267.5 thousand, Russia – 686.7 thousand, from Turkmenistan – 145.0 thousand, from Türkiye – 95.7 thousand, China – 57.7 thousand, from India – 55.9 thousand, from South Korea – 36.5 thousand, from Italy – 36.3 thousand and other countries – 366.6 thousand people.
