A 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Caspian Sea on Sunday, as reported by the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, The Caspian Post reports.

The quake was recorded at 07:22 local time.

Tremors were not felt.
