Tourists from Azerbaijan generated $107.6 million in revenue for Georgia's tourism sector during the first half of 2026, a 4.9% increase compared with the same period last year.

The figures show that Azerbaijani visitors contributed $48.1 million in the first quarter and $59.5 million in the second quarter of the year, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

Overall, Georgia's tourism industry earned $1.93 billion in revenue during the first six months of 2026.

Azerbaijan ranked among the top five source markets by tourism revenue, highlighting its continued importance to Georgia's travel industry.

The European Union, including the United Kingdom, remained the largest contributor with $335.7 million, accounting for 17.4% of total tourism revenue. Russia ranked second with $307.1 million (15.9%), followed by Türkiye with $255.1 million (13.2%). Israel placed fourth, generating $222.7 million (11.5%) in tourism income.
