The death toll from the recent explosion at Shahid Rajaee port in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, has reached 70, according to the crisis management director of Hormozgan province.
Firefighting operations have concluded, but the aftermath of the blast continues to unfold, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
The explosion occurred on Saturday at the busy port on the Persian Gulf coast.
On Monday, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni attributed the disaster to negligence, stating that "necessary precautions" had not been taken.
