Authorities in Iran have extended the closure of the country’s airspace until March 22.
The restriction means most civilian flights will remain suspended for another week, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
However, certain flights may still be permitted. Exceptions could include government, military, and medical aviation, as well as search-and-rescue operations, provided they receive special authorization from Iran’s civil aviation authorities.
The airspace had previously been scheduled to reopen on March 15, but officials decided to prolong the restrictions amid ongoing security concerns.
