Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has departed for Kyrgyzstan to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
The meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday in the resort city of Cholpon-Ata, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.
The SCO has strongly criticised the US-Israeli war against Iran and called for the conflict to be resolved through diplomatic efforts.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is also expected to participate in the meeting.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation consists of 10 member states, including China, Russia, Pakistan, and Iran.
