Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has addressed speculation over the fate of the country’s top leadership following joint U.S. and Israeli strikes.

Araghchi said that, to his knowledge, all senior leaders of the Islamic Republic survived the recent attacks by the United States and Israel, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

He acknowledged that two commanders sustained fatal injuries in the strikes but stressed that high-ranking political officials were not harmed. “Everyone is at their posts. We are managing the situation, and everything is under control,” he said.

His remarks came after Israeli media suggested that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei may have been among the targets of the joint operation.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a coordinated military campaign against Iran. The Pentagon reportedly named the operation “Epic Fury.” Multiple Iranian cities were hit, with civilian casualties reported.

In response, Iran has launched missile attacks targeting Israel and U.S. military bases across the Middle East. While the exact locations of Iran’s top leadership have not been disclosed, officials insist that key figures remain safe.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a sharp statement urging an immediate return to diplomacy. Tehran has also called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council as tensions continue to escalate.
