EU Reaffirms Strong Partnership with Kazakhstan

EU Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais has said that the EU is ready to deepen its partnership with Kazakhstan.

Stiprais made these remarks during a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Welcoming the EU envoy at the presidential residence, Tokayev emphasized that the EU remains one of Kazakhstan’s most reliable and strategic partners. He highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in politics, trade, energy, transport, and digital development.

Tokayev also pointed to the EU-Kazakhstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) as a “significant milestone” in their relations. The agreement marks its 10th anniversary this year and has become the backbone of political and economic ties between the two sides.

The Kazakh leader further praised the “active and constructive dialogue” between Central Asian nations and the EU amid expanding regional engagement.

For his part, Stiprais reaffirmed the EU’s strong commitment to Kazakhstan, expressing confidence in the continued growth of both bilateral cooperation and regional collaboration across a broad agenda.
