This year, 17,423 children are set to begin their education in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region, as the area continues expanding its educational infrastructure.

Ten new schools with a combined capacity for 6,900 pupils are currently being built as part of Kazakhstan’s national Comfortable School project, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

Earlier in 2025, six newly constructed schools accommodating 3,000 pupils were completed and are already operational. In the upcoming academic year, four additional schools, providing space for 3,900 pupils, will open their doors. Among these are a large 1,500-seat school in the SPMK-70 residential area of Kyzylorda city, a 600-seat facility in the Kyzylzharma neighborhood, another 1,500-seat school in the Arai neighborhood, and a smaller 300-seat school in Sekseul village, located in the Aral district.

Furthermore, a new school with a capacity for 150 pupils is under construction in Zhalangash village, also within the Aral district.

On a broader scale, Kazakhstan plans to renovate a total of 1,231 schools nationwide over the next three years, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing educational quality and access throughout the country.
