Investments in Kazakhstan's Economy Exceed KZT 15 Trillion

Investments in Kazakhstan’s economy surpassed 15 trillion, Advisor to the President - Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Uali said in his article published in Kazakhstanskaya Pravda daily, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

He said at the extended meeting of the Kazakh Government as of February 7 the Head of State set tasks to ensure free enterprise through developing competition, reducing state participation in economy and cost-savings for business.

On May 10 Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the decree on Economic liberalization measures.

In his September State-of-the-Nation Address themed Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth and Public Optimism, the President outlined the key directions for the country’s short-term economic development. the Government worked on the development of the set tasks, the article reads.

In the first six months of 2024 the foreign direct investments in Kazakhstan made 9.8 billion US dollars with the most channeled into the country’s mining sector, wholesale and retail, and processing industry.

Capital investments reached 15.8 trillion tenge in January-November 2024.

As of today, 134 projects worth 795.9 billion have been launched, and 10,100 permanent jobs have been created.

Uali reminded that the Head of State visited a number of new large enterprises as part of his torus to the regions.

As earlier reported, Kazakhstan attracted KZT 327 bln in investments in energy sector.
