Madkhiya Usmanova has secured a gold medal for Kazakhstan at the U17 World Women’s Wrestling Championships, currently underway in Athens, Greece.
Competing in the 57 kg weight class, Usmanova delivered a determined performance in the final, narrowly defeating India’s Moni with a score of 6-5 to claim the top prize, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Kazakhstan’s medal haul continued with Inzhu Bakkozha, who earned a bronze medal in the 43 kg category, adding to the country’s growing success at the youth-level tournament.
Earlier, Zhanazhol Kuanyshbek also brought home gold for Kazakhstan in the UWW U17 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships, underscoring the nation’s rising talent in international wrestling.
