Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu has visited the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Headquarters in Beijing as part of his official trip to China to prepare for the upcoming SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
In Beijing, Nurtleu held discussions with SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev and senior staff, focusing on ongoing initiatives and arrangements for forthcoming high-level events, including the SCO Heads of State Summit scheduled for September in China, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
Highlighting the Secretariat’s crucial role, the minister praised its efforts to promote multifaceted cooperation among member states and improve operational efficiency. During the visit, Nurtleu also toured the Secretariat’s meeting and ceremonial halls, including the recently refurbished Astana Hall.
The SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting is scheduled to take place in Tianjin, China on July 15.
