Kazakh judoka Nazgul Maratova secured a bronze medal in the +78 kg division at the Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On the second day of judo competitions, Maratova defeated Richelle Anita of Cameroon in the bronze-medal match, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
She previously overcame Siwar Dhawedi of Tunisia in the quarterfinals but was edged out by Hilal Öztürk of Türkiye in the semifinals.
Kazakhstan’s judo team has been performing strongly at the Games. Earlier, Aruna Jangeldina won gold, while Sherzod Davlatov, Yerzhan Yerenkaiypov, and Samalay Yergaliyeva added three more medals to Kazakhstan’s tally at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games.
