Starting December 5, Asman Airlines will begin operating regular flights between Kazakhstan's Almaty city and Kyrgyzstan's Karakol International Airport, marking the revival of a long-awaited air connection between the two cities.
Flights will run twice a week - on Fridays and Sundays - departing from Almaty at 11:35 a.m. (GMT+5) and returning from Karakol at 12:35 p.m., with a travel time of just 35 minutes, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The route, which last saw regular service in the 1970s, is being restored to improve regional connectivity and support tourism in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul region.
Ticket prices for the new route start at 6,500 soms, making it an affordable and convenient option for travelers.
