President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has extended warm Christmas greetings to Orthodox Christians of Kazakhstan, highlighting the important role of Orthodoxy in strengthening interfaith harmony and social unity in the country.
In his congratulatory message, the president emphasized that Christmas is a bright holiday that inspires faith, hope and love, and reflects the enduring spiritual and moral values shared by Christianity and other traditional world religions, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
These values, he noted, include justice, mercy, responsibility, kindness and harmony.
President Tokayev underlined that Orthodoxy makes a significant contribution to fostering mutual understanding among different faiths, as well as to educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, hard work and respect for family values.
He stressed that unity, solidarity and mutual assistance remain core principles of Kazakhstan’s state policy and form the foundation of the country’s achievements. The president said that mutual respect, trust and compassion will help society continue its confident movement toward justice and progress.
The president wished Orthodox citizens and all residents of Kazakhstan good health, success and prosperity, expressing hope that every home will be filled with peace and well-being.
