Kazakh Leader Highlights Digital and Cultural Cooperation with Uzbekistan, Invites AI Collaboration

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has emphasized the active development of digital technologies and cultural-humanitarian ties with Uzbekistan, inviting Uzbek companies to participate in joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence.

Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan is prioritizing the digitalization of public services and the advancement of IT technologies to enhance government efficiency and improve citizens’ quality of life, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

He recalled key initiatives, including the opening of the Alem.ai International Artificial Intelligence Centre, the launch of a research university in AI, and the establishment of a national supercomputer.

“Transforming Kazakhstan into a digital nation is our strategic goal. Uzbekistan is also advancing in digitalization and AI, achieving notable success. We invite Uzbek companies to collaborate on joint projects in this promising field. A successful example of synergy is the partnership between Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan,” Tokayev said.

The Kazakh president also highlighted the dynamic growth of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations, citing cross-cultural days, active dialogue among creatives and youth, unveiling of monuments to prominent figures, and the establishment of university branches. He expressed confidence that recent agreements will further deepen the multifaceted partnership for the benefit of both countries.

For his part, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the pivotal role of the Supreme Interstate Council in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

“Today, our relations have reached the highest level of strategic partnership and alliance, built on strong trust, good neighborliness, and sincere friendship. The Supreme Interstate Council, established last year, has proven its relevance and effectiveness. At its second meeting, we will explore new areas of cooperation and unlock untapped potential. Several decisions will be adopted to give a significant boost to our multifaceted partnership. In today’s challenging economic environment, close and proactive cooperation is essential to mitigate negative impacts on our countries and the region,” Mirziyoyev stated.

Earlier, Kazinform reported that President Tokayev called for favorable conditions for logistics chain participants, underscoring the importance of regional economic cooperation.
