The Akorda Presidential Office has released a photo showing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev alongside leaders from Russia and Central Asian countries ahead of the Central Asia-Russia Summit.
President Tokayev had earlier arrived at the Presidential Palace in Dushanbe to participate in the summit, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
In a bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the two leaders reaffirmed their strong commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. They discussed the implementation of key high-level agreements and exchanged views on significant regional and international matters.
President Tokayev also conveyed his best wishes to President Rahmon for a successful Central Asia-Russia Summit, as well as for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council.
