Kazakh Leader Participates in Wreath Ceremony in Turkmenistan

On the sidelines of the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, along with other world leaders, has participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Turkmenistan’s Monument of Neutrality, symbolizing the country’s commitment to peace and creativity.

President Tokayev arrived in Ashgabat on December 11 and was welcomed by Chairman of the Turkmen Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The sides held a brief conversation at the airport before meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

During their talks, the presidents discussed prospects for deepening bilateral relations, focusing on the practical implementation of agreements reached during Berdimuhamedov’s recent state visit to Astana.
