Kazakh, Uzbek Presidents Launch $1.2 Billion in Joint Projects via Videoconference

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have taken part via videoconference in a ceremony launching joint projects worth $1.2 billion.

The seven projects span key sectors, including industry, construction, petrochemicals, finance, logistics, and tourism, underscoring the growing strategic cooperation between the two countries, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

During the symbolic inauguration, the leaders officially launched:

The Central Asia International Industrial Cooperation Centre in the Syrdarya and Turkistan regions

The headquarters of Tenge Bank in Tashkent

A multi-functional logistics center in the Tashkent region

The Astana residential building in New Tashkent

A petrochemical complex for linear alkylbenzene production in the Kashkadarya region

The Astana Hotel in New Tashkent

The Tashkent Hotel in Kazakhstan’s capital

Earlier, President Tokayev arrived in Tashkent for a state visit, during which he held bilateral talks with President Mirziyoyev. The leaders also participated in the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, further strengthening Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan cooperation.
