Citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan became the most frequent visitors to Russia in 2025, according to new data released by the Border Service of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
In total, foreigners made nearly 15.6 million trips to Russia over the year - a 6.9 per cent decrease compared to the previous year. Despite the overall decline, travelers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan topped the list in terms of the number of entries, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
When it comes specifically to tourism, however, Chinese visitors dominated the statistics. In 2025, citizens of China traveled to Russia 834,000 times for tourism purposes, accounting for 51 per cent of all tourist trips to the country.
