Kazakhstan and Brazil Look to Strengthen Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation

Kazakhstan and Brazil held discussions on key aspects of their bilateral cooperation, focusing on political and trade-economic matters. They also exchanged views on potential collaboration within multilateral frameworks, according to a report from the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press service on February 4.

The issues were discussed at a meeting between Akan Rakhmetullin, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and Marcel Fortuna Biato, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Kazakhstan, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

Rakhmetullin highlighted Brazil’s active diplomatic role on the international stage this year and conveyed best wishes for a successful organization of upcoming events, such as the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém and the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue deepening mutually beneficial dialogue both at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

On November 11, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin met Brazilian Federal Deputy - Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Brazil Interparliamentary Friendship Group Claudio Cajado. The parties discussed the topical issues of first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Brazil Friendship Group and agreed to provide mutual support for the development of political interaction through the expansion of ties between the two countries' legislative bodies.
