Kazakhstan and Qatar Eager to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Kazakhstan and Qatar have discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events at the highest and high levels.

The issues were discussed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Kazakhstan Abdulla Hussein Jaber, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported Feb 5., The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform.

During the meeting the parties pointed out a high level of the Kazakh-Qatari political dialogue, progressive development of trade, economic and investment interaction.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of the agreements on promising investment projects reached during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Qatar in 2024.

Following the meeting, the sides confirmed mutual interest in further deepening of multifaceted cooperation and agreed to continue interaction on all topical issues.

In early January, the Joint Working Group of the Kazakh and Qatari Defense Ministries held its 1st meeting in Almaty. The sides agreed to establish interaction in military education and science, cybersecurity, sport and training for the Special Operations Forces personnel and air staff.
