Kazakhstan has ramped up its grain and flour exports to Kyrgyzstan by 2.5 times.
This surge is part of a broader expansion into regional and international markets, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Exports to Azerbaijan experienced an extraordinary increase of 120 times, rising from 6,000 tons to 723,000 tons, while shipments to Iran grew 17.3-fold, from 56 tons to 974,000 tons. In addition to the growth to Kyrgyzstan, exports also rose by 39.2 per cent to Tajikistan and 28.2 per cent to Uzbekistan.
From September 2024 to July 2025, Kazakhstan exported a total of 12.4 million tons of grain and flour (in grain equivalent), representing a 34 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
Kazakhstan’s grain exporters have resumed deliveries to Georgia and Türkiye after a five-year pause and significantly increased exports of hard wheat to Italy.
The ministry highlighted that these results underscore the strong competitiveness of Kazakh grain on the global stage, supported by effective government initiatives to boost agricultural trade and modernize logistics infrastructure.
