Kazakhstan Breaks Into Global Top 30 for Employment Rates

Kazakhstan has secured a spot among the world’s top 30 countries for employment rates in 2025, ranking 29th globally.

The country’s employment rate reached 67% of the population aged 15 and older, placing it alongside New Zealand, Singapore, and Thailand in the global ranking, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kazakhstan’s performance stands out when compared with several major economies. The country outperforms the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and France, all of which recorded employment rates of around 59% or lower.

At the top of the ranking, Qatar leads globally with an impressive 87% employment rate. The top 10 also features a diverse group of economies, including the Solomon Islands, Madagascar, Tanzania, and Cambodia.

The ranking is based on International Labour Organization's (ILOSTAT) 2025 research and reflects the proportion of employed individuals within the working-age population.

In a separate global index, Kazakhstan ranked 57th in the Henley Passport Index 2026, highlighting its evolving position across international economic and mobility indicators.
