A high-level meeting of the 14th Kazakhstan-Türkiye Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation has opened in Astana, Kazakhstan, underscoring growing momentum in bilateral ties.
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said that the previous commission session held in Ankara in 2024 significantly strengthened relations between the two countries and laid the groundwork for deeper economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Bektenov highlighted the strong potential of Kazakhstan-Türkiye relations, noting that close ties between the two presidents continue to drive progress across political and economic spheres.
He emphasized that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kazakhstan’s leadership maintain regular contact through reciprocal visits and international events.
During the meeting, Bektenov announced that President Erdoğan is expected to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in May, a move anticipated to further expand strategic cooperation.
Officials expressed confidence that the intergovernmental commission will help unlock new initiatives in trade, investment, and infrastructure, reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
