Kazakhstan Enters Pakistan's Market with Armored Vehicles

Kazakhstan is expanding its defense export footprint after the Besqaru plant signed an agreement with a Pakistani company to supply wheeled armored vehicles from Kazakhstan to Pakistan.

The deal was concluded during the state visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The representatives of the plant confirmed that the parties agreed on joint deliveries of Kazakhstan-made wheeled armored vehicles. The package includes the AIBAR 4×4 armored vehicle and the TAIMAS 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle equipped with the VN-11 combat module. The full production cycle of the equipment is carried out entirely within Kazakhstan.

Besqaru representatives said the agreement highlights the advanced development of Kazakhstan’s domestic defense industry and its growing export potential. Beyond supplies, the document also provides for broader industrial cooperation, including the creation of after-sales support systems, service and maintenance infrastructure, technical assistance, and personnel training-laying the groundwork for reliable and long-term operation of the equipment if deliveries proceed.

“The Besqaru plant was opened in 2025 and in a short time has become an industrial hub of Kazakhstan’s defense vehicle manufacturing, focused on producing modern, competitive, and export-oriented products,” the company noted.

Besqaru added that the agreement is “unique in nature” and represents one of the first examples of institutional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the segment of wheeled armored vehicles. The deal is expected to support export expansion, strengthen industrial partnership, and increase the global presence of Kazakhstan’s high-tech defense products.
