Kazakhstan, Iran Sign Multiple Intergovernmental Agreements

Following high-level talks in Astana, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a Joint Statement.

During the meeting, both countries witnessed the signing of several key intergovernmental documents, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Among those documents are:

Agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters

Protocol updating international road transport of passengers and goods

Cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs

Cultural exchange program for 2026-2028

Memorandum on intellectual property cooperation

Strategic cooperation in transport, transit, and logistics

Healthcare cooperation memorandum

Media cooperation agreement

President Tokayev highlighted the strong prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation across legal, cultural, transport, healthcare, and media sectors.
