The signing ceremony took place at the Yntymak Ordo residence in Bishkek in the presence of President Tokayev and his Kyrgyz counterpart, President Sadyr Zhaparov. The memorandum was signed by Raushan Kazhibayeva, Director of the TV and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan, and Bolotbek Tillebaev, Director General of the National TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation of Kyrgyzstan.
Under the agreement, the two state media institutions will collaborate on the exchange of television and radio content, implement joint creative and cultural projects, and share expertise in media production and broadcasting. Special emphasis will be placed on cooperation with the Silk Way TV channel, which operates under the Kazakh President’s media complex and already airs programming from several Central Asian nations, including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The signing marks a key cultural milestone in Tokayev’s state visit, which began with a tour of the Ata-Beyit memorial complex - a site of deep historical and emotional significance. Later, President Tokayev held talks with President Zhaparov and participated in the 7th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Supreme Interstate Council.
