Kazakhstan Launches Digital Plan for Construction Sector

Kazakhstan has approved a comprehensive digitalization plan for the construction sector for 2026-2027, aiming to modernize the entire building lifecycle.

The initiative, backed by Deputy Prime Minister and AI Minister Zhaslan Madiyev and Industry Minister Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, focuses on mandatory BIM design, automation of public services, digital building passports, and the digitization of construction regulations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The plan is designed to streamline processes, reduce manual labor, minimize errors, and improve project predictability. Officials say it will boost transparency, optimize timelines and budgets, remove administrative barriers, and raise quality and safety standards across the sector.

This move follows the recent signing of Kazakhstan’s Construction Code by the president, marking a major step toward modernizing the country’s construction industry and embracing digital governance.
