Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree appointing new ambassadors to the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Kairat Abdrakhmanov is named Ambassador to the Czech Republic, having previously served as Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Akan Rakhmetullin has been appointed Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW.
Roman Vassilenko, currently Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Belgium and Head of Mission to the EU and NATO, has been appointed Non-Resident Ambassador to Luxembourg. Bakyt Dyussenbayev has been relieved of his duties as Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
The appointments follow other recent government changes, including Aida Balayeva’s appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information.
