Kazakhstan’s AMANAT and ADILET Parties Announce Merger Plans

Kazakhstan’s political landscape could soon see a major consolidation as lawmakers and party leaders voiced support for the merger of the AMANAT and ADILET parties during the 26th Congress of AMANAT.

Supporters of the move say the unification would strengthen efforts to promote national development, social cohesion and the long-term goals of a Fair and Progressive Kazakhstan, The Caspian Post reports Kazinform.

Speaking at the congress, representatives described the merger as a timely step that would help bring together political experience, public support and organizational resources under a common vision for the country’s future.

AMANAT Chairman Yerlan Koshanov said the proposed merger would mark a new stage in the party’s development, emphasizing the importance of unity at a time when Kazakhstan is pursuing large-scale reforms.

Koshanov said that the country needs greater cooperation around shared national priorities rather than new political divisions.

The development comes just days after the Ministry of Justice officially registered the ADILET party on June 1, 2026. Earlier, during the party’s founding congress in Astana, delegates elected Aibek Dadebay as chairman and approved the formation of its governing bodies.
