In December 2025, Kazakhstan saw a significant gap between labor demand and supply.
Employers posted 109,600 job vacancies, while job seekers submitted only 71,500 resumes, leaving nearly 38,000 positions unfilled, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The highest salaries were offered for positions such as production managers (around 1.8 million KZT or $3,523), mine directors, and chemical engineers (about 1 million KZT each or 1,957). Meanwhile, job seekers had the highest salary expectations for roles like agronomist-entomologists, flight attendants, and computer equipment installers, ranging from 2.7 to 3.4 million KZT ($5,285-6,655).
Most vacancies were concentrated in education, services, and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, accounting for about 60 per cent of all job offers. Demand also remained high in healthcare, industry, trade, and construction.
Resumes were most actively submitted by accountants, nurses, and lawyers, with over 40 per cent of applicants under 35 years old. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection noted that such a situation is typical for December, as many job seekers delay their search until the new year.
