Kazakhstan Sees Sharp Rise in Tourism Investment

Investment in Kazakhstan’s tourism sector rose by 38.1% to 923 billion tenge (about US$2 billion) during the January-October 2025 period, driven by steady growth in both international and domestic travel, Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabossynov announced.

Speaking at a government briefing, Myrzabossynov said that 12.1 million foreign nationals visited Kazakhstan for tourism purposes between January and September. Of these, 8.6 million were classified as tourists who stayed in the country for more than one day, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

During the same period, around 1 million foreign visitors and 6.7 million domestic tourists made use of accommodation facilities, highlighting sustained expansion across the tourism sector, according to the Prime Minister’s press service.

The ministry said Kazakhstan currently has 4,499 accommodation facilities offering more than 243,500 beds nationwide. Revenues generated by hotels and other lodging facilities totaled 268 billion tenge (US$580 million), reflecting rising demand and increased business activity across the country’s regions.
