Kazakhstan Set to Host Silk Road Swimming World Cup Stage for the First Time

Kazakhstan is making a splash on the international sports scene as it prepares to host a stage of the prestigious 2026 Silk Road Swimming World Cup for the first time.

At the World Aquatics Congress held in Singapore, the host cities for the 2026 Silk Road Swimming World Cup have been officially announced, spotlighting a major new chapter for competitive swimming in Central Asia, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The prestigious event will kick off with its first stage in Baku, Azerbaijan, followed by the second stage in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The grand finale is set to be held in Astana, marking Kazakhstan’s first time hosting a major international swimming competition of this scale.

The World Cup is expected to draw elite swimmers from around the globe, including Olympic and World Championship medalists as well as world record holders, promising fierce competition and thrilling performances.

Organizers noted that the exact dates for each stage of the tournament will be revealed at a later time.
